Pirates Reach for Reiss

The Cornish Pirates have signed scrum-half Reiss Cullen on loan to the end of the season. Aged 21, he is due to arrive next week from Bristol Rugby and will then be available for the club’s remaining Championship games.

Reiss signed for Bristol last year from Scottish club Watsonians. He is a livewire player who is also a useful Sevens exponent, having been on the fringe of the Scotland Sevens set-up.

Cornish Pirates coach Gavin Cattle has said:

Reiss comes with a high pedigree, having featured with Bristol this year. Pat (Lam) kindly agreed that he can join us on loan at this tail end of the season and we are really fortunate at this stage to have a player of his quality. He’ll be made very welcome.
