Trewithen Dairy was founded and run by the Clarke family, who owned Greymare Farm in the Glynn Valley since 1976, and started crafting dairy products there in March 1994. It’s taken all this experience, along with plenty of hard work and patience, to build the business and to produce the delicious dairy products that are at the heart of everything we do.

The award-winning Logan Rock Inn is a 16th century traditional village pub serving a variety of real ales and excellent home cooked food. Named after the famous Logan Rock which stands a short walk away from the picturesque village of Treen, the Rock balanced precariously on the cliffs overlooking Pednvounder and Porthcurno Beach, it was famed for its ability to rock back and forth on the cliff top with the slightest touch. However, the rock was dislodged by a group of seamen in 1824 who were tasked with repositioning the rock by the locals for whom it had become a tourist draw. After repositioning, the easily rocking nature was lost and in the present day it takes much more force to move the 80 tone rock. The pub houses many historical pieces relating to the Logan Rock and surrounding area. Boasting a great position just off the coast path, the Logan Rock Inn is a great start, end, or stop off point for a number of walks. Our staff will be happy to assist you with advice on exploring the local area and its history.

Place and memory are inherently interlinked throughout the cornish landscape. At Sithney, the ancient and the modern meld in the present, creating links to the past and a grounding in place and identity.

Named after Saint Sithney who came to Cornwall as one of a band of Irish missionaries. Legend states that God asked Sithney to be the patron saint of women seeking husbands, but Sithney retorted that he would never get any rest and so instead became the patron saint of mad dogs!

History is entrenched in every aspect of Sithney, even below the ground as the landscape is peppered with mines, some of which go back as far as Tudor times- the most renowned being the Great Wheal Fortune mine. Many generations of Cornishmen toiled in these pits, producing copper, zinc, arsenic, tungsten and tin. It is said that in the 1950s, a lone minor was seen to be working in the burrows, taking two sacks of Wolfram daily to the nearby village of Camborne to sell. And so, the wheel of fortune turns and, like the rotations of the hands of a clock, time has brought a new spirit of creativity and pride to the small parish – Saint Sithney Distilling co.
