‘Fun Festival’ at Penair

The Cornish Pirates first ‘Fun Festival’ of the season took place recently at Penair School, where Cornish Pirates players Jordan Payne and Tom Channon officiated as head referees.

Showcasing their talent were children from Blackwater Community Primary School, Veryan C of E Primary School, Archbishop Benson C of E Primary School, Mithian School, St Mary’s C of E School (Truro), and Shortlanesend School.

Sam Teasdale, Community Engagement Manager commented:

It was a great start to our Primary Programme and we are now really looking forward to promoting Healthy Living through sport countywide.

Post Festival the Pirates stayed to run a mixed age girls session with the Penair students, the variety of enjoyable games leading to a very busy yet much enjoyed day!
