During a busy schedule on his latest visit back home to Cornwall, Colin Groves visited Falmouth RFC on Tuesday evening.
Accompanying Colin, as together they delivered an informal presentation about the Stadium for Cornwall, was former England wicketkeeper Jack Richards.
Colin, a former Truro player who is the Chairman of Waikato Rugby and is a Board member of the Cornish Pirates, also spoke about the exciting partnership between the Chiefs Super Rugby team, Waikato and the Cornish Pirates.
Bill Hooper commented on Facebook that it was a “great evening” listening to Colin and Jack, whilst also present representing the Pirates were coaches Gavin Cattle and Alan Paver, along with club captain Chris Morgan.
At the end of an enjoyable night, John ‘Proper Job’ Rees presented Colin with a Falmouth RFC playing shirt.
