With reference to this coming Saturday’s return to league action with a seventh versus first clash in the RFU Championship (ko 2.30pm), please note the following:

General information to note:

Tickets – Tickets for what promises to be another enthralling contest between the two teams will be available at the gates on the day (open 12.30pm), whilst in the meantime they can also be purchased on-line. For further ticket information please visit:   www.cornish-pirates.com/tickets

Match Programme – Supporters wishing to access the digital match programme can do so either via the social media link 3 hours before kick-off or via the QR Code located at various points around the ground.

Our ‘BIG’ Movember Push! – Saturday marks the end of a big Movember push for 2022 from the Cornish Pirates! A big thank you to everyone who has gotten involved, donated and spread the word so far, which has seen us raise in excess of a superb £2,500. We’re not done yet either! A charity shave off will take place in the marquee after Saturday’s game, with donations going to the final total raised. Come and see our players and staff, as they finally lose the fluff on the top lip!

Welcome to Ethan Pattison – We will be welcoming Ethan into the marquee. A Falmouth barber and former rugby player, he will carry out our Movember charity shave off.

There are plenty of other ways you can get involved too:

All donations of £5 and above will see your automatic entrance into a prize draw for a signed shirt from the 22/23 squad.

You can buy raffle tickets on our online shop for £2, which could see you win a Movember T-shirt as worn by our players in the warm-up against Ampthill last time out. Donate at: https://uk.movember.com/team/2429286

Locker Stash – Note below!

Items can be dropped into the designated ‘Locker Stash’ bin which will be sited in the clubhouse corner of the ground next to the ‘Growing Links’ base.

Growing Links – Again this week and for future match days, supporters will have the opportunity to donate food items to this important local charity who do incredible work in West Cornwall. Supporters who feel they can help with donations are asked to bring along tinned and non-perishable goods to the designated drop-off area by the clubhouse corner of the ground from 12.30 – 2.30pm.

Reverse Advent Initiative through December – Following on from the recent partnership announcement with ‘Growing Links’ the Cornish Pirates are also pleased to announce the ‘Reverse Advent Initiative’ that will be running through December.

Every day from the 1st – 25th December items will be donated by players, staff and sponsors/local businesses – look out for our daily advent calendar on social channels, made up of familiar faces. If you would like to be involved or find out more, please contact Rebecca at: [email protected].

Reusable Cups in Support of The RNLI – Many are helping us to proudly support the RNLI! Supporters don’t have to purchase a reusable non-refundable pint ‘cup’, which costs £1 only from the marquee. However, if you do then 100% of ALL proceeds go towards helping save lives at sea

The Pirates Shop – Remembering that Christmas is now all but upon us, there are a variety of exciting new items available for sale from the on-ground shop, which will be open from early afternoon (including during and after the match), when purchases can be made by CARD ONLY – No cash. At other times merchandise can be purchased via the online shop link: https://cornish-pirates.com/shop/

Hospitality – Hospitality numbers were very encouraging last season, with most games sold out. To avoid disappointment in forthcoming League & Cup games, please book early by contacting our Hospitality & Events Coordinator, Liz McLean – email [email protected]

Match Day Sponsorship & Match Ball Sponsorship – To be either a Match Day or Match Ball sponsor, Liz is also the contact. This Saturday’s Match Day Sponsor is ‘Vospers’ and the Match Ball Sponsor is ‘Kernow Model Rail Centre’.

Welcome to ‘PattyPatt’ – ‘PattyPatt’ has amassed a strong social media following through his F1 streaming. The F1 simulator will be in the marquee, with our guests encouraged to come and set their fastest lap time in a bid to win prizes! Ethan also represents Kimura Performance Ltd, an esports company who create content and engage with sportsmen, women and clubs among others. Ex Scotland international Nathan Hines and England international Jack Clifford also form part of the Kimura team.

Supporter importance – As we have highlighted in the past, our support at the Mennaye Field helps tremendously when everyone gets behind the team. Outstanding on so many occasions, it is our sixteenth man – so more of the same please throughout 2022/23, as it really can make a difference!

The Veterans Charity – This weekend’s match day collection is for this particular important charity. Founded in 2008, it provides support to Veterans of all generations cross the entire UK who find themselves facing hardship and distress.

Live-Streaming – Finally, for those unfortunately unable to make the match, please note it is being live-streamed. This week is an RFU pick, so will be free to air via the link on our social media channels.

Please note we will be observing one minutes applause prior to kick off in memory of Doddie Weir, following the sad news of his passing at the weekend.

Enjoy the game!
