Partnership Confirmed with Duchy Hospital

The Cornish Pirates are pleased to announce a partnership agreement with Duchy Hospital, who have provided considerable and greatly appreciated support over the years.

On behalf of the Cornish Pirates, Finance Director Rebecca Thomas has said:

Duchy Hospital have been a huge support to us for many years and it is fantastic to build on that relationship with this partnership agreement.

Chris Gendall and Mike Butler have been instrumental in developing the agreement to meet the needs of our players and provide the best medical service and advice possible. A high proportion of our players have been treated at the Duchy Hospital over recent years and having a first-class service on our doorstep is invaluable in terms of treatment and recovery.

Chris Gendall, Duchy Hospital Director, also commented:

I am delighted that the Duchy Hospital is able to support the Cornish Pirates with our new partnership agreement, as together we look forward to seeing the club go from strength to strength.

And Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon Mike Butler added:

I think this a hugely positive step for both the Pirates and the Duchy Hospital, especially as the Pirates set their sights on the Premiership. It is my strong aspiration to help to offer the Cornish Pirates and all our patients first class healthcare here in Cornwall.
