‘Meet the Players’ Evening – THIS Friday

Names of Captain and Vice-Captain to also be announced

The annual Cornish Pirates ‘Meet the Players’ Evening will take place at the Mennaye Field this coming Friday, the 16th August.

This free admission occasion provides an opportunity for supporters, sponsors and everyone connected with the club to attend what is always a popular event in the calendar.

The clubhouse bar will be open from 6pm, when tickets can also be collected from the club’s Ticketing Manager, Sue, who will be based by the Honours Board until 6.45pm.

At 7pm the whole squad will emerge from the tunnel for the team’s new signings to be introduced in front of the Truro & Penwith College Grandstand. Following this both Paul Durkin (Chairman) and Chris Stirling (Director of Rugby) will address the crowd to outline the club’s hopes and aspirations.

The names of the Club Captain and Vice-Captain for the coming season will also be announced, and to conclude the evening ‘One & All’ will then meet and talk informally in the clubhouse, as together everyone looks forward to a what promises to be an exciting rugby campaign ahead.

At the same time player sponsors will have the opportunity to be photographed with their sponsored player/s.
