An Enjoyable Experience – Not to Forget

When youngsters from Grampound Road Village C.E. School recently visited the Mennaye field, Penzance, theirs was an enjoyable experience they will not forget.

Present to not only watch the Cornish Pirates in action against Hartpury RFC, the children also participated themselves as welcome guests on the afternoon.

Speaking on behalf of the school, teacher David Salway said:

We really enjoyed our trip to watch the Pirates. It was terrific fun. Our pupils were invited to play an exhibition of tag rugby at half time, which was great – none of them having played in front of so many people before. Forming the Guard of Honour and waving flags as the Pirates and Hartpury players ran through a tunnel of children was also an experience, all part of an amazing day.
