Another tough but exciting month lies ahead for the Cornish Pirates in March, including two tough trips and the return of Ladies Day, as we look to cement second place in the Championship! Here’s what’s coming up this month:

Saturday 2 March – Caldy v Cornish Pirates, Paton Field (Kick off 3pm)

The Pirates return to league action after three weeks without a game in the Championship, heading to the Wirral for a fourth consecutive champ away day. Caldy, in their second season in the league, recorded a memorable victory over the Pirates in the snow at Paton Field last season. Despite a strong bonus point win at the Mennaye this year, the Pirates will be looking to avenge last years defeat.

Sunday 10 March – Cornish Pirates v Ampthill, The Mennaye (Kick off 2:30pm) LADIES DAY

Ladies Day returns to the Mennaye on mothering Sunday, when we welcome Ampthill to Cornwall. It’ll be a first home game in the league for nearly two months and promises to be a great occasion with everything else on offer at The Mennaye. The Pirates have a good record against the Mob, but it’s never an easy afternoon against a tough outfit and this promises to be much of the same!

Saturday 23 March – Doncaster Knights v Cornish Pirates, Castle Park (Kick off 2:30pm)

We round off the month with a tough away day at fellow Championship high flyers, Doncaster Knights. With the league so tight at the top, this could be a pivotal fixture to decide league position. The Knights are always a tough opponent, especially at Castle Park and got the better of the Pirates at The Mennaye earlier in the season.
