Cornishman Zak Chenoweth, who has previously performed a Sports Therapist role at the Cornish Pirates from 2018-21, has ahead of the 2023/24 season been officially confirmed as a club Physiotherapist. He will be working alongside Simon Edwards, the Head Physiotherapist.
Now aged 28, Zak was educated at Penrice School in St. Austell, and Truro College, before studying a Sports Rehabilitation degree at Cardiff University and at Marjons, Plymouth. It was a period during which he also gained valuable physiotherapy experience at Redruth RFC, besides having more recently undertaken a Masters degree in Physiotherapy at Plymouth University.
Simon Edwards, who is again looking forward to welcoming Zak as a work colleague, has commented:
“Due to start full-time in August, Zak will make a really good contribution in his important role.
“He has been with us a few years on and off, mainly as a Sports Therapist, and has been back to Uni in Plymouth to study for his Masters degree, which passing with flying colours he should feel justifiably proud of.”
