What’s on January 2024

Happy New Year and welcome to 2024!

It promises to be another hugely exciting and action packed year ahead for the Cornish Pirates. Here’s what’s coming up in the first few weeks of the New Year:

Saturday 13 January – Cambridge v Cornish Pirates, Ellgia Fields (Kick off 2pm)

In the first action of the New Year we travel to Cambridge for our first Championship fixture at the newly promoted ‘Blood and Sand’. We’ll be hoping for a repeat of our Premiership Rugby Cup fixture last year, where the Pirates ran out comfortable 17-64 winners!

Saturday 20 January – Cornish Pirates v Nottingham, The Mennaye (Kick off 2:30pm)

We’re back at the Mennaye for the first time since beating Hartpury last month, in front of our biggest home crowd in four years. Make sure you’re there to make it another big crowd, as a stern test awaits against the green and white. Get your tickets now – https://cornish-pirates.com/tickets/

Saturday 27 January – Coventry v Cornish Pirates, Butts Park Arena (Kick off 3pm)

We round off the month with a tough away trip to the BPA against title challenging Coventry. Alex Rae’s men haven’t had the start to the season they would have wanted, but they are always a difficult opponent with their fast paced style on their 4G surface.
