With the league fixtures now announced and Premiership Cup fixtures due to be released tomorrow, the pre-season excitement is building.  Players have completed the first of their pre-season training blocks and the new faces have integrated exceptionally well.  We are looking forward to the return of rugby to the Mennaye in just over a month when we welcome Plymouth Albion back to Penzance for our friendly fixture!

Season tickets, which include entry to the Plymouth friendly, the Cup pool home games and home league games, remain on sale and you can guarantee your seat up until 28th July.  Hospitality is also filling up fast so don’t delay booking in for the full match day experience.

Off field, we are delighted to confirm that work has started on the new football and community sports hub at Langarth Garden Village.  Cornwall Council is working alongside Truro City FC, which is part of the Kernow Sport Ltd group along with Cornish Pirates, to provide the new facilities which will also be used as an important community hub, for Threemilestone FC and other sports clubs in Cornwall.  This development is welcome news and the timing critical for bringing Truro City back to Truro for the 24/25 football season.  The facilities have been designed to comply with both the FA and RFU minimum standards criteria on pitch size, changing rooms and medical facilities to ultimately allow both football and rugby to be played at the Sports Hub.  Playing surface remains critical to multi-use of this sports facility and continues to form a key part of discussions.

Extensive site and earth works have commenced and the development of this site marks a crucial step in our journey towards safeguarding professional sport in the County.  Alongside this we have also opened up a community investment campaign in partnership with Crowdcube which is now live!  This offers the opportunity for both football and rugby fans to own a stake in the Clubs and be a part of the future journey.  Visit our campaign page at crowdcube.com/kernowsport
