This FRIDAY will see the Cornish Pirates welcome league leaders Ealing Trailfinders to the Mennaye Field for a scheduled Round 17 contest in this season’s RFU Championship (ko 7.30pm).

It is a fixture that also starts our April campaign off with a bang, under popular Friday Night Lights! The visitors won the reverse fixture back in February and have a good lead at the top of the Championship Table, despite a shock 29-21 defeat at Ampthill this past weekend. The Pirates, who have produced an occasional win against the Trailfinders in the past, will also look to upset the odds in this 3^rd versus 1^st encounter, with it expected that a packed home crowd will be in attendance.

The Pirates Shop – As ever, there are a variety of exciting items available for sale from the on-ground shop, which will be open ahead of kick-off (including during and briefly after the match), when purchases can be made by CARD ONLY – No cash. Growing Links – Sincere thanks are expressed to all who have supported ‘Growing Links’. Just for this week, however, those supporters who normally make donations of tinned and non-perishable goods are advised the ‘Growing Links’ personnel will NOT be present.

Match Day Collection – This weekend’s collection will be one made by representatives of The Fishermen’s Mission at Newlyn. It is a charity close to the hearts of people in Cornwall, so please give a little if you can.

Supporter importance – As we have highlighted in the past, our support at the Mennaye Field helps tremendously when everyone gets behind the team. Outstanding on so many occasions, you really are our sixteenth man!
