This SUNDAY will see the Cornish Pirates welcome Doncaster Knights to the Mennaye Field for a scheduled Round 6 fixture in this season’s RFU Championship (ko 2.30pm). The Knights are presently second in the league table, and the Pirates are fifth.

Match Programme – Supporters wishing to access the digital match programme can do so either via the social media link 3 hours before kick-off or via the QR Code located at various points around the ground.

Movember – This year’s Movember donations are still growing well – as are the moustaches grown by our players! Over £1000 has been raised to date with a big thank to everyone who has donated thus far. The target aim though is £2000, so please continue to support the players’ efforts if you can and together let’s make it happen! As for the big shave off, that will take place in the Yeomans sponsored marquee at the end of Sunday’s game, with thanks in advance to Barbiere Truro’s barber Gareth Fryer.

Free Men’s Haircuts! – Also, on Sunday, to heighten awareness of ‘Man Down’, free haircuts for men will be given by Gareth in the Marquee from 12.30pm until kick-off – and then after the game as well. ‘MAN DOWN’ is a Cornwall based non-profit Community Interest Company that provides informal peer-support talking groups all over Cornwall for men with mental health concerns. Their aim is that ‘we’ together end the stigma and reduce the number of male suicides in Cornwall.

Growing Links – The response to support ‘Growing Links’ continues, with thanks once again to all who contributed. If you have donations of tinned and non-perishable goods to make this week, then please drop them off at the old Tea Bar in the clubhouse corner of the ground from 12.30 – 2.30pm.

Match Day Collection – Sunday’s collection will be one in aid of Cornwall Hospice Care. It is a very special and important charity, so please donate a little if you can.

Supporter importance – As we have highlighted in the past, our support at the Mennaye Field helps tremendously when everyone gets behind the team. Outstanding on so many occasions, you really are our sixteenth man!
