Roger Roberts RIP

The Pirates have been saddened to hear that former player Roger Roberts passed away recently.

A retired architect, Roger played well over 400 games for Penzance & Newlyn RFC, including in decades past being a popular captain of the third team. He was also proudly a Vice President, which is an honour only bestowed upon an elected few.

The funeral will take place on Wednesday 26th April, commencing 2pm at Chapel Street Methodist Church, Penzance.

A pasty and saffron cake reception is to then be held afterwards at the Pirates rugby club.
