The Cornish Pirates confirmed late in June 2023 that Tom had signed a one-year contract with the club, having in the past two seasons made 22 appearances for Jersey Reds after joining the island side from Boroughmuir Bears.

Despite being born in Kent, Tom spent most of his childhood in the south-west of England, attending King’s College in Taunton and then the University of Bath where he was an integral member of their side whilst undertaking his BSc Sports Performance course. He had also in memorable early days played for Salisbury under the watchful eye of respected coaches, including Cornishman Mark Murley, a former ‘Pirate’ and father of Harlequins’ player Cadan.

Besides rugby, Tom played cricket and hockey for Somerset from under 14s to under 17s level, and he also represented the West England Hockey under 16s team.

As for hobbies, Tom likes to play a little golf and heading to the beach, whilst when working in a local café he has happily been a ‘Barista’, keen to serve coffee at its best!
