It was announced ahead of the 2023/24 season that Royal Navy man Jordan, who is an Air Engineering Technician (AET), had signed a one-year contract with the Cornish Pirates.

Having first played rugby at the age of 5 for Trojans RFC in Hampshire, Jordan also played Winchester RFC before leaving for London Irish. Educated initially at Uplands Primary School, he later attended Swanmore College of Technology in Hampshire and then St. Paul’s (the London Irish AASE) in Sunbury-on-Thames to do his A Levels.

Influential coaches in Jordan’s career have included such as Tony Yapp (Taunton Titans), Mike Ford (Belgium), and Dave Pascoe (Royal Navy), whilst a highlight was surely his man of the match performance at Twickenham in May 2023 when he steered the Navy to the Inter-Services title with a first win over the Army since 2010.

As for players admired, for Jordan watching Quade Cooper in action has been special, describing the ‘Wallaby’ as someone with X-factor who has influenced his ideas on how to play the game. However, his most important influences have been his parents, who have been a big driving force throughout his career.

Jordan has two Staffordshire bull terriers called Nonu and Lola, and he is in his own words is a massive petrol head who enjoys working on bikes and cars. He is partial to the occasional festival or techno event, and is also a massive film geek who, more often than not, can be found at home – watching a film with a cup of hot chocolate!
