The Cornish Pirates confirmed ahead of the 2023/24 season that Cardiff-born Iwan would be dual registered with the club from Exeter Chiefs.

Introduced to rugby by his father, the then nine-year-old got his first taste of the action at Pontyclun RFC in Wales where he would quickly make a name for himself a rising young playmaker.

Initially part and parcel of the Cardiff Blues age-group set-up, it was in a match against the Chiefs that Jenkins first came onto the radar of Exeter Academy Manager, Rob Gibson. His blossoming talent was clear to see, and after moving to the west country and securing a place at Exeter College he joined the ranks at Sandy Park ahead of the 2020/21 season.

A former pupil of Y Pant School, in Talbot Green, the talented fly-half has enjoyed with some notable displays for Exeter Chiefs in the Premiership Rugby Cup and last season he to continue his rugby development he also featured for National League One side, Taunton Titans.
