A younger brother of former Exeter Chiefs, England and British & Irish Lions star, Jack Nowell, it was confirmed ahead of the 2023-24 season that Frankie would be dual registered from Exeter Chiefs with the Cornish Pirates.

Considered a talented and strong runner who can play across the back division, Frankie, who started playing at just six years of age with Penzance & Newlyn RFC’s youth section, has followed a similar path to that of his elder sibling.

After later attending Mounts Bay Academy, he then made a move to Truro College, where he honed his development with the Exeter Chiefs Academy before eventually joining the ranks at Sandy Park ahead of the 2020/21 season.

A skilful young player, who can run hard and cause problems for opposition defences, to further aid Frankie’s development he has also in the recent past enjoyed loan time with Plymouth Albion in National League One.
