Pirates Name Their Team for Redruth

For the Cornish Pirates some usefully meaningful rugby action starts on Saturday when they will be participating in a pre-season friendly at Redruth (ko 2.30pm).

The visit to the Recreation Ground was to have formed part of a triangular set of fixtures, also involving Camborne, however the ‘Cherry & Whites’ are now unfortunately unable to participate.

Admission by £10 tickets, available to purchase on the day, will include entry to the stand on a first come first served basis. The gates will open at 12.30pm, with children under 16 admitted free.

From a Pirates perspective the match will provide supporters with an opportunity to see most of the club’s new signings in action.

As part of their sponsorship with the Cornish Pirates, Glengoyne will be providing the ‘Glengoyne Trophy’ to be presented at the end of the match to the adjudged ‘Player of the Match’.

Besides the club bars and food outlets there will be free tasting in the Edinburgh Gin Tent, plus a post-match clubhouse Disco.

Safety Notice
Please note that no glass, bottles or cans may be brought into the ground, and any bags brought in are liable to be searched. Vehicle access to the ground will not be permitted after 2.30pm and may be restricted from 2.00pm if congestion occurs.
No vehicle may leave the ground during the match. Also, after the final whistle, vehicles will be held in the ground until the bulk of the crowd has dispersed and will leave via the Piggy Lane gate. Please follow stewards instructions.
