The Cornish Pirates have named their squad to travel to Wales on Saturday for a pre-season opener against Welsh Premiership side Aberavon Wizards.
It will be the fifth year running that the two teams have met, it remembered that the Pirates won comfortably at home last year but have lost on their two previous visits to the Talbot Athletic Ground.
Coach Gavin Cattle is looking forward to some real rugby action, saying:
The boys and everyone have worked very hard during the summer and we are all keen to get underway.
From past experience we know that Aberavon will again provide stern opposition, which is just what we need as part of our preparation for another challenging but exciting Championship season ahead.
