Following the recent announcement that centre Harry Strong and wing Harrison Cully will be dual-registered with Exeter Chiefs for the coming season, the Cornish Pirates can at present confirm the names of five more talented young players who will be similarly associated.
Lock Josh Caulfield (Pictured Above), who was dual registered last season and played for England under 20s, is on the list of five that also includes the names of prop Billy Keast, back-rower Tom Lawday, centre Pete Laverick, and wing AJ Cant.
Tom Lawday
23-year-old Lawday, who made his senior debut for the Chiefs in the Anglo-Welsh Cup against Harlequins last November, has played for England Students.
Pete Laverick
Laverick is aged 22, and as part of the Exeter club’s senior academy progressed to Sandy Park through the club’s excellent relationship with the University of Exeter.
AJ Cant
Cant, at just 18, is the youngest name to be confirmed. Truro-born, he attended Newquay Tretherras School and Truro College, and has played for Exeter Chiefs under 18s.
Josh Caulfield is sponsored by The Whisky Boys and Billy Keast by The Yacht Inn, Penzance.
Player sponsorship is now being sought for Tom Lawday, Pete Laverick and AJ Cant.
