Work could begin next year on the Stadium for Cornwall – as long as the government commits to its pledge to match fund local investment. The project, which has evolved considerably from its original blueprint, will be built next to the Langarth Village development at Threemilestone and will include an all weather pitch, conference centre and sports injury clinic.
It will now be the home of an innovative head injury centre – looking at things like concussion and vascular dementia in sport, among other additional features. Cornish Pirates and Truro City Football Club owner, Dicky Evans, said delays to the project have meant it has evolved to further benefit the people of Cornwall and has also recently revealed that the stadium will go into community ownership.
