The latest new face to join the Cornish Pirates is young lock forward Danny Cutmore.
Watford-born Danny, aged 20, stands at 6’ 7” tall and has been a Saracens Academy member who has also played for ‘Sarries’ both in the Anglo-Welsh Cup and the ‘A’ league.
Educated at Beaumont School, St. Alban’s, he represented Hertfordshire through the age groups and played for England U17s.
On loan during the past season at his boyhood club Old Albanians, Danny has commented:
I am very much looking forward to testing myself in the Championship, as it a tough league.
At the same time my aim at a progressive club like the Cornish Pirates will be to develop both as a player and a person.
Speaking on behalf of the Cornish Pirates, player/coach Alan Paver said:
We are really excited that Danny is joining us as he yet another young prospect who has clearly had very good tutelage during his time at Saracens.
From our perspective we are looking at talented youngsters of quality and in Danny’s case look to improve his game still further and make him feel at home.
