The Cornish Pirates can today confirm the four players joining the club on dual registered agreements ahead of the new season, with four familiar faces returning to the club in the shape of Alfie Bell, Jack Forsythe, Sol Moody and Louie Sinclair.
All four return having made appearances for the Pirates last season, in a welcome boost to the squad as the resumption of fixtures loom. Hooker Sol Moody enjoyed a breakout season in the Championship, scoring eight tries and making 21 appearances. Lock forward Alfie Bell made his Pirates debut in January, amassing 12 appearances in the second half of the season. Jack Forsythe had an excellent impact at the end of the campaign, starting our final six Championship fixtures, scoring two tries. Louie Sinclair arrives after a solitary appearance in the Premiership Rugby Cup, but with a National One Fly Half of the Season accolade to boast.
Joint Head Coach Gavin Cattle was delighted to welcome Becconsall back.
It’s always great to have a local lad. He had a really good impact last year both on and off the field. He’s at that point of his career where he needs minutes and in doing so really has the potential to push on to the next level. We’re delighted to have him back.
