‘Teagle Machinery Ltd’ Become an Official Partner of the Cornish Pirates
And New Mower Makes its Arrival!
Welcomed aboard last season as a new sponsor, a new two-year partnership with the Cornish Pirates sees Teagle Machinery Limited step up to Official Partner status.
Supporters will have seen the ‘Teagle’ name on the team’s new post protectors, advert boards and the Big Screen at the Mennaye Field, Penzance, whilst a recent arrival is a brand-new mower.
The Dynamo 150 Finishing Mower will be used to cut and help keep in best condition both the main Mennaye Field and also the team’s adjacent Mennaye Nurseries ground.
Speaking on behalf of the Cornish Pirates, CEO Rebecca Thomas commented:
“Having the support of a Cornish company such as Teagle means a huge amount to us. Experts in their field, their experience and machinery will be extremely beneficial with regards to our pitch maintenance and will help us keep it in the best possible condition through all Cornish weathers! We are very pleased to have extended the partnership of last season for a further two years and look forward to working with the very professional and friendly Teagle team.”
Also, with reference to the partnership, Teagle Machinery Limited’s UK & Ireland Sales Manager, Paul Curnow, said:
”We’re delighted to increase our support level with the Cornish Pirates and look forward to our partnership developing over the coming seasons. As a proudly Cornish company, there is an obvious synergy between our two brands and it feels only right that the most iconic sports pitch in the county is being maintained by a machine designed, developed and manufactured in Cornwall.
“We view this partnership as an excellent opportunity to increase the awareness of the Teagle brand within the local Cornish community, a community that is so important to us a family-owned company and an employer of nearly 200 local people.”
About Teagle Machinery Ltd
Teagle is a proudly Cornish, family-owned business based near Blackwater on the outskirts of Truro. We design and manufacture innovative and market leading agricultural machinery, being one of the largest in the UK to do so, distributing our products to customers via our loyal dealer network across the UK and globally to fifty countries around the world.
Product development begins by listening to our customers, maintaining the trend started nearly 80 years ago by Mr William ‘Tom’ Teagle who founded the business. The legacy of engineering innovation from our founder continues today. In 2016 a new 1250m2 Research and Development workshop was commissioned. This was followed in May 2018 with a new, larger and more modern Engineering office, built to enable us to expand our company’s product development and support capacity for an increasingly sophisticated product line-up. Continued growth and high levels of global demand have resulted in further investment with a factory extension and new automated paint line facility that is due to open by the end of 2022.
Our investment in manufacturing technology gives us the ability to produce almost all of the components in our machinery on site, using the latest in CNC machinery, robotic welding stations and modern powder-coating painting system. This enables us to closely monitor the quality of our products, ensuring we deliver the very highest level of British manufacturing to our customers around the world.
The strength of our business is our people, and we are the proud employers of nearly 200 dedicated individuals at our headquarters near Truro. We have a wide skill base across a diverse range of roles covering administration, design, product development and engineering through to welding, painting and fabrication. We are always looking for great people to join our team so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you would like to find out more about career opportunities at Teagle Machinery.
