After a 4-week break, rugby action returns for the Cornish Pirates on Friday evening with a home ‘friendly’ at the Mennaye Field against the Royal Navy (ko 7.30m). It is a fixture that has proved immensely popular in the past, as will once again hopefully be the case. Several star players of the past will also be present, who we will be thrilled to see and catch up with.

General information to note is as follows:

The Pirates Shop – The shop will be open at the match this weekend selling a range items, so please pop along and see Rachel. Remember purchases can be made by CARD ONLY – No cash.

Match Programme – Supporters wishing to access the digital match programme can do so either via the social media link 3 hours before kick-off or via the QR Code located at various points around the ground.

Hospitality – Match day hospitality has gone extremely well this season, so for those interested in booking hospitality on future match days please contact our Hospitality & Events Coordinator, Liz McLean – email: [email protected]

Shirts Auction – We will also be auctioning off all player worn jersey’s from the starting XV, with the auction closing at midnight on Sunday!

Match Day Collection – This weekend’s collection is one giving support to ‘A Band of Brothers Cornwall’, which is a charity celebrating its tenth anniversary. The charity aims to connect, inspire, and train local male volunteers to work with the most disadvantaged and most self-destructing young men aged 18-25. Through rites of passage and mentoring it helps young men find out what it takes to be a man in current times and build a life away from crime with meaning, purpose and connection. In Penzance, if you want to find out more, the charity is holding an ‘Open Evening’ next Wednesday19th March at the Lescudjack Centre, Penmere Close, Penzance, commencing 7pm.

Post-Match Entertainment – Once again we will welcome the popular Cadgwith Singers, who will ‘strike up’ as usual, followed in the Yeomans sponsored marquee by the also equally popular Will Keating!

Supporter Importance – Appreciation to our supporters has already been highlighted, and at the Mennaye Field it really does help tremendously when everyone gets behind the team. Outstanding on so many occasions, we need you again this weekend – as you really are our sixteenth man!

NO Live-Streaming – Note there is no live-streaming of the game this weekend, but it should kick in again on Friday week when we play London Scottish. Please also be aware there will be no match coverage this Friday on BBC Radio Cornwall, so the advice for supporters unable to attend is to follow our social media for updates.

Finally, Enjoy the Match ‘One & All’ and Thanks Again for Your Always Outstanding Support!
