It is Redruth at Home 2pm this Saturday
Scheduled to play the first of their three pre-season friendlies at home to Redruth on Saturday, supporters should note that the kick-off is at the earlier time of 2pm. The match, of course, will provide a great opportunity to see some of the new boys in action.
Admission is £10 for adults and £2 for children under 16. Available seating is on a first come first served basis.
Mentioning the seating aspect, it is important to note that as per last Saturday there will be no entry to the main grandstand for this fixture. This follows an inspection which has deemed it necessary for certain essential maintenance to be carried out in preparation for the start of the league season that gets underway in September.
General information to note is as follows:
Tickets – Tickets for the game will be available at the gates on the day (open 12 noon), whilst in the meantime they can also be purchased on-line. For further ticket information please visit: www.cornish-pirates.com/tickets
Programme – Although we will not have a hard-copy programme for Saturday (they will be available when the League matches get underway), a digital match programme can be accessed either via the social media link 3 hours before kick-off or via the QR Code located at various points around the ground.
The Pirates Shop – This will not be open for Saturday. However, available items of merchandise can be purchased via the online shop link: https://cornish-pirates.com/shop/
Hospitality – Despite it being too late to book hospitality for this weekend, it can be for future match days. Hospitality went very well last season, and is expected to again, so please contact our Hospitality & Events Coordinator, Liz McLean – email: [email protected]
Parking Concerns – A problem highlighted last season was when supporters attending matches have thoughtlessly parked on grass verges nearby. There are only a few culprits, but this naturally gives a bad impression of rugby supporters and, inevitably, the club – so please don’t let yourselves of the club down.
Growing Links – Although ‘Growing Links’ are not attending this Saturday, they have expressed appreciation to all who have supported them in the past. We will confirm later if they will be present this coming season, when donations of tinned and non-perishable goods would no doubt again be welcome.
Post-Match Entertainment – It was great to see and hear the Cadgwith Singers and Will Keating last Saturday, as we look forward again to enjoy such special entertainment this weekend.
Live-Streaming – This will likely resume for the League games but there will be no live-streaming on Saturday.
Finally, Enjoy the match ‘One & All’ and thanks again for your outstanding support last season. Let’s keep it going!
