Supporter Information: Jersey Reds

This Saturday will see the Cornish Pirates welcome Jersey Reds to the Mennaye Field for a Round 14 game in the RFU Championship. The seventh versus second contest kicks off at 2.30pm.

General information to note:

Tickets – Tickets for what again promises to be a tough challenge will be available at the gates on the day (open 12.30pm), whilst in the meantime they can also be purchased on-line. For further ticket information please visit:   www.cornish-pirates.com/tickets

Match Programme – Supporters wishing to access the digital match programme can do so either via the social media link 3 hours before kick-off or via the QR Code located at various points around the ground.

Growing Links – The response to support ‘Growing Links’, including

the ‘Reverse Advent Initiative’, has been fantastic, with thanks once more to one and all. Please note for this week, and hopefully for future games, your donations of tinned and non-perishable goods should be dropped off at the old Tea Bar in the clubhouse corner of the ground from 12.30 – 2.30pm.

Locker Stash – Your old items of rugby kit – still in good condition! – can be dropped into the designated ‘Locker Stash’ bin which will be sited in the Marquee. Locker Stash work with sports clubs in both the UK and overseas, dedicating their time to make them more environmentally friendly by recycling their sportswear and investing profits back to grassroots sport. Reusable Cups in Support of The RNLI – Many are helping us to proudly support the RNLI! Supporters don’t have to purchase a reusable non-refundable pint ‘cup’, which costs £1 only from the marquee. However, if you do then 100% of ALL proceeds go towards helping save lives at sea.

The Pirates Shop – There are a variety of exciting items available for sale from the on-ground shop, which will be open ahead of kick-off (including during and briefly after the match), when purchases can be made by CARD ONLY – No cash. Match Day Collection – The match day collection this week is by Bolingey Barbarians. A particularly worthy charitable group, over the years they have raised tens of thousands of pounds for the benefit of important children’s charities here in Cornwall.

Supporter importance – As we have highlighted in the past, our support at the Mennaye Field helps tremendously when everyone gets behind the team. Outstanding on so many occasions – as it was in our two opening games in 2023 – let us make sure that throughout year it is our sixteenth man!
