This Saturday will see the Cornish Pirates play their opening game in 2023. To be played versus Doncaster Knights at the Mennaye Field, the fixture is the one that was postponed just before Christmas because of wet pitch conditions.
General information to note:
Tickets – Tickets for what promises to be an entertaining and closely-fought contest will be available at the gates on the day (open 12.30pm), whilst in the meantime they can also be purchased on-line. For further ticket information please visit: www.cornish-pirates.com/tickets
Match Programme – Supporters wishing to access the digital match programme can do so either via the social media link 3 hours before kick-off or via the QR Code located at various points around the ground.
Growing Links – The response to support ‘Growing Links’, including
the ‘Reverse Advent Initiative’, has been fantastic, with thanks to one and all. Again, this week, and for future match days, supporters will have the opportunity to donate food items to the important local Growing Links charity who do incredible work in West Cornwall. Supporters who feel they can help with donations are asked to bring along tinned and non-perishable goods to the designated drop-off area by the clubhouse corner of the ground from 12.30 – 2.30pm.
Locker Stash – Your old items of rugby kit – still in good condition! – can be dropped into the designated ‘Locker Stash’ bin which will be sited in the Marquee. Locker Stash work with sports clubs in both the UK and overseas, dedicating their time to make them more environmentally friendly by recycling their sportswear and investing profits back to grassroots sport. Reusable Cups in Support of The RNLI – Many are helping us to proudly support the RNLI! Supporters don’t have to purchase a reusable non-refundable pint ‘cup’, which costs £1 only from the marquee. However, if you do then 100% of ALL proceeds go towards helping save lives at sea
The Pirates Shop – There are a variety of exciting items available for sale from the on-ground shop, which will be open from early afternoon (including during and after the match), when purchases can be made by CARD ONLY – No cash.
