All the Latest News & Fixtures...
The Cornish Pirates today welcome Ampthill to the Mennaye Field for a scheduled Round 20 fixture in this season’s RFU Championship (ko 2.30pm).
One thing for sure is that with fine weather forecast there should again be no lack of both rugby atmosphere and entertainment, as the fourth-placed Pirates take on their eighth-placed opponents who pushed second-placed Bedford Blues mightily close last weekend before losing 36-33 at home.
General information to note is as follows:
Festival Season at The Mennaye in May! – Besides the rugby action, as we have advertised ‘Festival Season’ is presently in flow on match days this month with live music and family fun. Note the following:
Singalongs with Cadgwith Singers and Will Keating post-match
Games and giveaways with Tribute & Thatchers
The Callestick Farm ice cream trike is back
Bouncy castle and face painting for kids with games
Tickets – Tickets for the game will be available at the gates on the day (open 12.30pm), whilst in the meantime they can also be purchased on-line. For further ticket information please visit: www.cornish-pirates.com/tickets
The Pirates Shop – The shop will be open before and during the match (up to halftime) selling a range items, so please pop along and see Rachel. Remember purchases can be made by CARD ONLY – No cash.
Match Programme – Supporters wishing to access the digital match programme can do so either via the social media link 3 hours before kick-off or via the QR Code located at various points around the ground.
Hospitality – Match day hospitality has gone extremely well this season, so for those interested in booking hospitality on future match days please contact our Hospitality & Events Coordinator, Liz McLean – email: [email protected]
Match Day Collection – This weekend’s collection is being made by members of the YMCA.
Supporter Importance – As we have highlighted in the past, our support at the Mennaye Field helps tremendously when everyone gets behind the team. Outstanding on so many occasions, we really need you this weekend – you really are our sixteenth man!
Match Day Parking – One thing to highlight in relation to supporters is to once again request that if parking in the vicinity of the ground please be respectful to our neighbours. Parking in nearby ‘Rosevale’ has once again been a concern whereby supporters have blocked driveways and parked on grass verges which causes understandable upset. If anyone is guilty then please refrain from doing so as it gives both the Pirates and rugby in general a bad name.
Live-Streaming – For those, who are unfortunately unable to make the match, please note it is being live-streamed FREE of charge.
Finally, Enjoy the Match ‘One & All’ and Thanks Again for Your Outstanding Support throughout The Season.
