The Cornish Pirates are delighted to announce Suez recycling and recovery UK as our sustainability partner for the 2025/26 season.
As part of a new focus on our sustainability journey within our community programmes, the recycling and waste management company logo will be prominent on our new reusable cups – available for the first time at The Mennaye this weekend when we face Hartpury in the opening round of the new Champ Rugby season. All proceeds from each £1 reusable cup will go to this year’s chosen charity ‘Cash for Kids’.
A big thanks must also go to Tribute, Thatchers, Tricorn Consulting, Jewson and Roseworthy Farms who have also gotten involved with the scheme and have their logos featured on the cups.
Mark Hillson, PFI General Manager for Cornwall at SUEZ said: ‘As a proud Cornishman, I’m passionate not only about Rugby but also about our environment and the natural beauty Cornwall has to offer. Helping local businesses and organisations like Cornish Pirates to become more sustainable and educate local communities is a real passion at SUEZ. I’m delighted to be supporting them on their sustainability journey.’
Head of Commercial and Communications at Cornish Pirates, Ross Hancock, said:
“We are delighted to be working with Suez and bringing their powerful message of the importance of being sustainable into the community and our schools. The passion the team have shown for how they can help us on our sustainability journey has been really infectious and we look forward to playing our part in that new focus.”
We look forward to sharing further plans and details of some exciting collaborations with Suez later in the season.
