Congratulations are expressed from all Pirates to Exeter Chiefs back-rower Sam Simmonds, who in advance of the autumn internationals has been named in Eddie Jones 34-man squad.
Ahead of this season Sam, aged 22, made 52 appearances for the Cornish Pirates when dual-registered with Exeter Chiefs.
His now inclusion in England’s squad is a just reward for the fine form he has shown with Chiefs this season, however Penzance & Newlyn RFC youth section products Jack Nowell and Luke Cowan-Dickie, who are colleagues of Sam’s at Exeter, both miss out at present because of injury.
