Chester Ribbons extends his stay with the Pirates

The Cornish Pirates are delighted to announce Chester Ribbons will extend his stay at the club after signing a new contract for the 26/27 season.

The Yorkshire-born centre, who joined the club permanently from Exeter Chiefs in the summer after a successful dual registered period, has become a fan favourite at the club with a series of impressive performances including our most recent fan voted Player of the Month. Ribbons has made 40 appearances so far for the club, scoring 6 tries.

Joint Head Coach, Gavin Cattle, was delighted to keep who he called a standout performer. “Chester has been a stand out player for us especially at the back end of this season. His first full season at 13 where he has made big strides. A good ball playing 12 who is big and physical. He is hungry to improve, a pleasure to coach and is great personality to have with the team.”

Ribbons added “It’s class to re-sign with the Pirates – what a place and what a club! Very excited for what’s to come next season.”
