Luke Ratcliff puts pen to paper on new contract

The Cornish Pirates are delighted to announce that back rower Luke Ratcliff has put pen to paper on a new contract ahead of the 26/27 season.

The Australian flanker who has Welsh heritage, arrived on trial in pre-season and ended up with a deal going on to score 5 tries in 19 appearances so far this season.

Joint Head Coach, Alan Paver, hailed the impact made by the Aussie.

“Luke Ratcliff, the man from down under with a Welsh connection! He’s brought great energy both on and off the field since arriving. He’s settled into the Cornish lifestyle quickly and has adapted well to the Championship. His development has been a credit to him—he’s a gritty, physical player with real natural ability, and we’re excited about what he’ll continue to bring.”

Luke added “I’m stoked to be back with the Pirates for another year. We got an unreal bunch of boys and it’s such a good club to be around. Excited for what’s ahead and keen to keep building next season.”
