Experienced prop Osman Dimen joins the club

The Cornish Pirates are delighted to announce the signing of experienced prop forward Osman Dimen on a short term deal.

27 year old Dimen joins after a short spell with Harlequins, featuring in the Prem Cup victory over English Champions Northampton Saints last weekend, as well as a stint with Leicester Tigers on an impressive CV. He is no stranger to Champ Rugby either having represented London Scottish last season, Nottingham and Bedford Blues several years ago.

Sandwiched in between those spells, Dimen played in France with Bourgoin and more recently at Chambery alongside now fellow Pirate Arwel Robson.

Joint Head Coach, Alan Paver, was pleased to bring in Dimen’s experience at a time where the Pirates front row options are stretched.

“Oz is an experienced campaigner despite his years and has a lot of rugby in the bank with some big clubs for a prop yet to enter his peak years, which hopefully are here. Aside from his set piece he’s a physical specimen and brings excellent collision both sides of the ball. We’re looking forward to seeing what he can do for us.”

Dimen joined up with the Cornish Pirates squad on Thursday and is available for selection with immediate effect.
