Bodies and minds relaxed following their Christmas and New Year break the Cornish Pirates returned to training on Friday.

The chance to enjoy quality time with family and friends had also been welcomed by the coaches and other backroom staff. Coach Gavin Cattle commented:

I think it’s the first time in my rugby career, which spans back awhile now, that there has been the best part of a two weeks break over Christmas.

It seemed really strange, however the league we play in is unforgiving so the break has been beneficial to the boys, who are now reenergised and should be in good shape for the challenges that lay ahead.
