Pirates Form Partnership with LooseHeadz

The Cornish Pirates have formed a partnership with LooseHeadz, whose aim is to tackle the stigma around mental health.

At present the LooseHeadz Foundation is funded through the sales of clothing, donations and fundraisers, and is run by a board of trustees, which is headed up by their patron Shaun Edwards, to ensure total visibility in everything they do. Their trustees then decide where to distribute the money raised, and report back to the team on the impact of their campaigns.

100% of the profit from every purchase of LooseHeadz rugby clothing and apparel helps to fund their campaign to put a mental health lead in every club.

LooseHeadz co-founder Rob Shotton has commented:

“We’re excited to join forces with Cornish Pirates and further our reach in the South-West. The Pirates have been very supportive so far and we are looking forward to working together to normalise the conversation and tackle the stigma of mental health.”

Since launching in 2017, Looseheadz’ ambassadors, comprising several top names from men’s and women’s rugby, have helped #TackleTheStigma by providing time and support, free of charge, and have been involved in everything from photoshoots to podcasts.

The Cornish Pirates ambassadors are Ruaridh Dawson, Tom Duncan, Alfie Petch, Will Gibson and Alex O’Meara.
