Pirates announce Talent ID Day for 15-18 year olds

Cornish Pirates are excited to announce their inaugural Talent ID Day at Camborne College on Wednesday 27 August. Young and aspiring athletes, male and female, aged 15-18 from across the Duchy, are invited to test their strength, skill, speed and stamina. Cornish Pirates Coaches, Players and Analysts will evaluate and advise on talent development. Could you be the next star of men’s or women’s rugby?

Cornish Pirates CEO, Sally Pettipher, said:

There is so much talent in Cornwall, and this is for any young people whether they play rugby or not. We expect that most will already play in schools or clubs and would like to test themselves, get some experience of elite rugby testing, and return to club and school with new insight on their talents.

School Rugby Manager at Cornwall College, Lee Missons, commented:

I’m absolutely thrilled to see this Talent ID Day come to life. Cornwall has always been a hotbed for rugby talent, and events like this give young players the perfect platform to show what they’re made of. Rugby is a game for everyone – whatever your background or playing style. So this is a fantastic opportunity to challenge yourself, meet like-minded players, and most importantly, to showcase your abilities in front of a professional setup.
