One week ban for Kiri Kiri

Disciplinary:  Antonio Kiri Kiri, Cornish Pirates 

Antonio Kiri Kiri of Cornish Priates appeared before a virtual independent disciplinary panel yesterday evening (Wednesday 23 February 2022).  The panel comprised Martin Picton (chair) and Gareth Graham.

Kiri Kiri was charged with conduct prejudicial to the interests of the union and the game contrary to RFU Rule 5.12, for disrespecting the authority of the assistant referee.  The incident occurred in the second half of the Bedford Blues v Cornish Pirates game on 19 February.

Kiri Kiri received a one match ban and will miss the Cornish Pirates v Jersey Reds game on 27 February.
