Navy Fixture Confirmed

With the Cornish Pirates versus Jersey Reds league fixture, which was scheduled to take place on Friday the 23^rd February, having been unfortunately cancelled following the demise of the Jersey club, the Pirates are now delighted to announce that they will instead be playing the Royal Navy on that day, still with a 7.30pm kick-off.

Supporters should note that season ticket holders will have entry the same as for the Jersey game, whilst other tickets can be purchased via:

Cornish Pirates’ CEO Rebecca Thomas has commented:

“Losing the Jersey home league fixture, having already lost the Jersey Cup fixture, was a big blow financially for us and also impacted our committed season ticket holders and sponsors. 

“We have built great links with the Navy rugby team over the years and therefore it is great to be able to secure this home game for mutual benefit. 

“Last hosting them for a pre-season friendly in 2021, and having had a number of the Navy squad with us either training or playing for the past few seasons, we look forward to welcoming them once again to the Mennaye under Friday night lights.”
