The Cornish Pirates have always appreciated the support provided to them by Microcomms.
When it comes to technology Microcomms bring ideas, strategy, and a wealth of experience to every IT project they work on. Services including consultancy and design work help businesses prepare for future growth and expansion. The partnership is a perfect fit for the Cornish Pirates.
Besides providing professional services for staff and office-based requirements at the Mennaye Field and in the Pirates ‘Westholme’ clubhouse, Microcomms assisted in setting up the Facebook streaming of Cornish Pirates home matches which proved immensely popular. Additionally, for many years, Microcomms have sponsored a chosen Cornish Pirates player, who this season is scrum half Ruaridh Dawson. The West stand at the Mennaye Field is also, of course, named the Microcomms Stand.
Visiting the Mennaye Field this past week were Microcomms’ representatives, pictured with Ruaridh, who was given the opportunity to get on the seat and ride a Super73 e-bike owned by the Microcomms business Ride-On E-Bike Hire. Managing Director of Microcomms and Ride-On, Simon Murley, is a former Pirate himself and played number 13 in his youth.
Cornish Pirates CEO Rebecca Thomas said:
“Microcomms have been long standing partners of the Cornish Pirates for many years and have helped us evolve our IT systems and infrastructure through this time, along with providing the much-enjoyed Facebook live stream. Their professional and efficient team are always on hand to assist us with our office requirements and their continued support is highly valued.”
