The Cornish Pirates can confirm that back rower James McRae is to be dual registered with Exeter Chiefs for a second season. James will be sponsored this season by The Whiskey Boys.
Aged 23, the Liverpool-born former England under 16s ‘A’, England Students and Exeter University player made 15 appearances for the Cornish Pirates in 2018/19.
Looking forward to welcoming James back, Cornish Pirates’ joint coach Alan Paver said:
Having James return will provide a massive boost to the squad, not only because he is talented in an area that we need him but because he is diligent around his work and ambitious in his learning, which keeps him driven.
A year deep now in terms of what he needs to know, his integration on return is expected to be quick and we all look forward to welcoming him back.
