Matt Pritchard agrees new deal with the club

The Cornish Pirates are delighted to announce that Cornishman Matt Pritchard has agreed a new deal with the club for the 26/27 season.

The hooker, who is in his second season after joining from Redruth, has made 22 appearances scoring 6 tries, including one in the last round at Ealing Trailfinders which earned him a spot as Pirates top performing forward – for the third time this season.

Joint Head Coach, Alan Paver, was pleased to retain a local front rower.

“A proud Cornishman and former Redruth player, now with a full year of Champ Rugby under his belt. He’s developing into a strong set-piece specialist, bringing real physicality on both sides of the ball. Local, tough, and with plenty of growth in his game, Matt is a quiet character who leads by example. We’re delighted he’s signed for another year to continue his development.”

Matt added “I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far and looking forward to being here for the seasonnext year. I just want to keep learning and improving and this is the best place to do it.”
