Jack Andrew Testimonial Dinner

As previously mentioned, for Cornish Pirates’ long serving stalwart prop forward Jack Andrew, this season is a Testimonial one, and reference the same a gathering comprising 160 people, made up of playing colleagues past and present, club officials, partners and friends attended his Testimonial Dinner held at the Penventon Park Hotel at Redruth on Saturday evening.

It was a most enjoyable occasion, where all present dined and Cornish Pirates’ joint head coaches Gavin Cattle and Alan Paver recalled Jack’s rugby history, his admirable character, durability, and the part Jack played in helping to secure a momentous 25-17 win against mighty Saracens in March 2021 when, packing down against South African World Cup winning prop Vincent Koch, he helped win a crucial penalty.

An auction on the night helped benefit ‘The Invictus Trust’ teenage mental health charity in Cornwall, and everyone present also participated in a Silent Disco!
