Analyst ‘Ed’ is Moving On

After spending two seasons in Cornwall, Ed Hounsell, who is the Head Performance Analyst at the Cornish Pirates, is about to move on with an aim to work upon the high seas aboard Superyachts.

It was after a year spent performing an Analyst role at Coventry that Kiwi Ed headed to the far South-West, when initially appointed in the role of Assistant Analyst. Since then, he has been admirably fully committed and able during his time based at the Mennaye Field, and fully embracing the special culture that pervades has also played some rugby for the Pirates Amateurs, besides applying his social media skills to good benefit.

Ed recently completed the London Marathon in aid of the Samaritans, and all at the Pirates, including many supporters, will ahead of him departing Cornwall wish to express best wishes for the future to the 28-year-old. Sail well, Ed.

(Ethan Wetherell – Ethan, who has this season been an Intern Analyst, is also due to depart, as he returns to Bath University for his third year there. We wish him all the very best, as his role too has been integral this year, and like Ed he also played for the Amateurs and embraced what the Pirates are about as a club).
