| For immediate release: Thursday 9 March, 2023 Issued on behalf of Championship Rugby Disciplinary: Jack Andrew, Cornish Pirates The case of Jack Andrew, Cornish Pirates, was heard by an independent disciplinary panel chaired by Jeremy Summer with Olly Kohn and Mitch Reed Andrew was cited for dangerous tackling contrary to World Rugby Law 9.13 during a match against Ampthill on 4 March 2023. The player accepted the charge and received a three-week ban. The panel gave permission for the club to apply to participate in the World Rugby Coaching Intervention Programme (CIP). If the player successfully completes this, he will not have to serve the thrid game of his ban and will be available for the fixture against Ealing Trailfinders on 25 March. Andrew will miss the following games: · 11/03/23 – Coventry · 18/03/23 – London Scottish · 25/03/23 – Ealing Trailfinders* * Subject to completing CIP. The full judgement is available here.
