Cornish Hooker Pritchard signs new deal

The Cornish Pirates are delighted to announce that hooker Matt Pritchard has signed a contract for what will be his first full, to remain a Pirate in 25/26. The Cornish born forward has made two Championship appearances this season after joining on loan from Redruth, scoring in both games including most recently at Coventry last weekend.

Matt spoke of how he was looking forward to a first full season with the club.

I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far and looking forward to being here for the full season next year. I’ve loved the challenge of playing at this level and just want to keep learning and improving.

Joint Head Coach Alan Paver echoed his excitement at developing another young local talent.

We’re over the moon to have him here after having such amazing tutelage at Redruth. We deliberately kept him there as long as we could to give him as much rugby exposure as possible and so he was rugby ready when called upon. I’m really pleased for him – another local man doing well.
