Chester Ribbons joins full time

Good news for the Cornish Pirates confirms that centre Chester Ribbons, who has been due registered with Exeter Chiefs this season, has signed to be a fully contracted Cornish Pirates player for 2025/26.

Yorkshire-born, the 22-year-old has to date made 11 appearances for the Cornish Pirates, in which he has impressed. Joint head coach Gavin Cattle, who is naturally pleased to acquire the signature of another gifted young man, has commented:

“Chester is a big, physical and skilful lad who has certainly showed his potential during his time with us. He has ability to play at 12 or 13, and to be a ball player and a ball carrier, which makes him an exciting prospect.

“Competent and very tidy, I am looking forward to continue working with someone who is a good team member, and who takes on information well, which again makes a very good fit for us.”

Chester has also said:

“Delighted to be signing, I’ve loved my time on loan at the Pirates this season and feel I’ve made strides in my game since arriving.

“The lads and coaches have been class, and I am excited to be a Cornish Pirate next season”.
