Centurion Joe Elderkin extends stay at the club

The Cornish Pirates are delighted to announce that Cornishman and club centurion Joe Elderkin has extended his time with the club for the 26/27 season.

The Truro born centre, who made his 100th appearance for the Cornish Pirates earlier this season, stands at a total of 107 games and 8 tries and is the second longest serving Pirate having made his debut in 2021

Joint Head Coach, Gavin Cattle, hailed Elderkin’s experience.

“Joe is a Pirates Centurion and deeply understands what it is to be a Pirate on and off the field. He his a calming influence and is the ‘glue’ that enhances team cohesion. We are really happy to keep Joe onboard for another season.”

Elderkin added “I’m very excited for another year! It’s always a huge honour every time I get to put on the jersey.”
